Together for Debates that Divide Less and Unite More

Global Debates welcomes those who believe that debate and dialogue can deepen understanding and restore connection in an increasingly divided world. Guided by our purpose of nurturing a culture of 'debates that divide less and unite more', we collaborate with initiatives, institutions, and individuals who share a commitment to cultivating civic imagination, reflactive (active+reflective) citizenship, and intercultural understanding.

Through our four-team debate format and transformative competitive debate methodology, we support young people to move beyond viewing debate as a contest of winning arguments toward co-creating shared spaces that consciously nurture active listening, reflection, mutual respect, and non-violent communication as habits of civic life.

There are many ways to join this journey. You may collaborate with us as a partner organization, contribute as a volunteer, learn alongside us as an intern, or bring your expertise through our debate coaches collective. You may also work with us as a consultant or colleague in advancing our shared commitment to preparing young people for civic engagement and multicultural coexistence.
